The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson

Okay, so this paperback book is 1252 pages long. Probably the longest book on my TBR. Well, probably the longest book on my bookshelf. But, aside from that, Sanderson’s books are full of intricate world building and character development. I will need to create a large space of time to read this. Maybe the next time we travel (I am hopeful this will happen soon!), this would be a good book to read in the car.

Dune by Frank Herbert

What to say about Dune? I have read this before, so this is a reread, however, I still find it quite overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, I love Herbert’s writing, however, you definitely need to be in the right mood to read this book. The world building is extraordinary with it’s detailed descriptions of the terrain of Dune to the comprehensive depictions of each character. This book is well worth the read but I still find it intimidating.

Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel

I’ve heard nothing but great things about this book. However, I have also heard that it is quite dense and detailed. I love historical fiction, however, I need to be prepared for the mass of information being conveyed to really enjoy this book. I know this will not be a quick read, but I am looking forward to it.
